Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 7XO have begun

The Mahindra XUV700 facelift is coming in 2026 and will be launched as the Mahindra XUV 7XO, with its official launch scheduled for January 5, 2026, bringing significant cosmetic updates, new tech (like a three-screen setup and Harman Kardon audio), but retaining the same powerful engine options.

The upcoming XUV 7XO is shaping up to be a more tech-heavy evolution of the XUV700 and the brand continues to drip-feed details ahead of its January 5, 2026 launch. The latest teaser draws attention to the cabin - confirming a high-end 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system that delivers 1,400 W output with Dolby Atmos support.

 


Inside, the biggest update comes from the dashboard itself. The XUV 7XO becomes the first ICE-powered Mahindra to adopt the brand's triple-screen layout - previously reserved for its electric models. The teaser visuals also show a panoramic sunroof, a new dual-tone brown and tan interior theme and a redesigned steering wheel finished in the same shades.

Revised door pads, reworked air vents and upgraded upholstery will be available in the fully loaded AX7L trim. Mahindra recently confirmed a new 540-degree camera system that combines feeds from multiple cameras around the vehicle to offer extended visibility. This is accompanied by an improved ADAS visualization interface that displays active driver assistance functions in real time.

Panoramic Digital Cockpit: Featuring a large, curved display spanning the dashboard – possibly a combination of digital instrument cluster, infotainment and passenger entertainment.

Gaming on screen: The left side of the screen shows a soccer game (presumably FIFA or eFootball), indicating the gaming capabilities in the car – something Hyundai is promoting for its next-generation EVs.

Steering wheel: Has a modern, minimalist design with touch-sensitive controls and a new “H” logo (Hyundai's updated emblem).

Materials & Trim: Premium wood accents, soft-touch surfaces, and ambient lighting suggest a luxury-oriented cabin.

Mahindra is gearing up to launch the facelifted XUV700 under the new name XUV 7XO. The Chakan-based carmaker has started accepting pre-launch bookings for the upcoming XUV 7XO. Interested customers can visit any dealership across the country or visit Mahindra's official website for Rs. One can book the Mahindra XUV 7XO by paying a token amount of 21,000.

Ahead of its debut scheduled for 5 January 2026, Mahindra has released a series of teasers revealing various aspects of this updated mid-size SUV. The latest teaser for the Mahindra XUV 7XO has given us a glimpse into its cabin.

 

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Triple screen display added

The latest teaser on Mahindra's social media handles confirms the addition of a triple-screen display, similar to the one we saw in the XEV 9E and the recently launched XEV 9S. This setup includes three 12.3-inch screens for infotainment, driver instrumentation and passenger entertainment. It is not clear whether this will be standard or optional on certain variants.

Apart from the redesigned dashboard, the teaser also reveals a new gloss black two-spoke steering wheel with Mahindra's Twin Peaks logo. Another important detail is the new 'Boss Mode', which allows someone in the back to manually move the front passenger seat; Useful when driven around by a driver. Along with these features, the XUV 7XO will also get a refreshed dual-tone interior theme. Mahindra is expected to offer new cabin color options, likely a combination of beige and maroon, marking a significant departure from the interior palette offered on the existing XUV700.

 

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Exterior Updates

Previous teasers and spy shots have revealed several external updates. The mid-size SUV is set to receive significant updates at the front, including a vertical bronze-slatted grille accented with piano black inserts. The lighting design seems to take a cue from the recently launched Mahindra XEV 9S.
